Thursday, October 15 • 2:00–3:30 PM ET

FORMAT: Virtual | 90 Minutes
(60 Minute Build + 30 Minute Q&A)

Every publishing house runs on the same recurring reporting cycle: sales data pulled together into a Monday brief, invoices chased, month-end numbers explained to the board. It’s necessary work, and it eats the week of the people responsible for it.

Brooke Dobson is joined by a guest expert to apply the same build-it-live method from the rest of the series to the business side of publishing. Rather than marketing or metadata, this session points AI at the back office: a Monday-morning leadership brief that assembles itself from your sales and cash data, a receivables chaser that drafts (but never sends) follow-up emails, and month-end variance commentary that arrives board-ready.

Everything is built live using synthetic publisher data, so you can watch the full process before swapping in your own. If your week keeps disappearing into reporting, this session is built to give it back.

What You'll Learn

Attendees will walk away with:

  • A live-built leadership brief that assembles itself from sales and cash data each Monday
  • A receivables-chasing tool that drafts follow-up correspondence for your review, never sending anything without a human sign-off
  • A month-end variance commentary tool that turns raw numbers into board-ready explanation
  • How to apply the series’ build method to finance, operations, and leadership reporting specifically
  • How to adapt each tool to your own sales and cash data once the session ends

How It Works

This isn’t a webinar—it’s a build session, and the work doesn’t stop when the session ends. Before the session, watch a 10-minute setup video that walks you through everything you need. Demos run on ChatGPT and Codex, but the workflows are tool agnostic and apply directly to Claude Cowork and Claude Code, allowing you to follow along on either platform. Come ready, and you can start rebuilding the same day.

24 hours post-session, you’ll receive the full build kit, including data files, finished templates, prompt sheets, and a walkthrough, so you can run the exact same tools on your own list. By the end of the week, what we built together on Wednesday will be running in your own publishing house.
